Off-screen, Keanu Reeves draws attention for his deeds of compassion and overall niceness, and he has developed a bit of a cinematic persona.
Fans have gone crazy over the 57-year-old’s reappearance as Thomas Anderson and Neo in the fourth Matrix Resurrections installment.
The Point Break actor was revealed to have been running a private foundation for more than five years, one that supports children’s hospitals and cancer research, demonstrating the kind of man he truly is.
Many people are unaware that he was the subject of legal proceedings more than ten years ago over claims that he was the father of a woman’s four adult children.Karen Sala claimed Keanu was the father of her four children, who were then 21, 22, 23, and 25 years old. Karen Sala requested $3 million per month in spousal support, retroactive to 2006, as well as $150,000 per month in child support, starting in 1988.
Nobody was more shocked than Keanu himself, who denied ever meeting the woman, to be accused of this.Sala asserted, however, that they had a sexual relationship before, during, and after their marriage, that they cohabited, and that he was there for several of her children’s births.
A Keanu Reeves lawyer had previously testified in court that Keanu was not the biological father of Sala’s older children. The Canadian mother, meanwhile, questioned the reliability of the exam.
The DNA results have drawn criticism from Karen Sala, who lives in Barrie, more than 60 miles north of Toronto. She questioned whether the results had been tampered with or if the actor had used hypnosis to influence them.
Since Reeves grew up across the street from her, she claimed to have known him since she was four or five years old. Before moving to Hollywood in 1986, the actor was born and raised in Toronto.
She claimed that they had been in touch subsequently and that she was familiar with him by numerous identities. She said to the court, “I didn’t know he was Keanu Reeves.” “To me, he was Marty Spencer.”
According to Lorne Wolfson, Keanu’s attorney, Karen alleged in her affidavit that Keanu utilized hypnosis and assumed many personas, including her ex-husband, who Wolfson said was the father of her children.
“Her evidence is, at best, incredible,” Wolfson said. “There is clearly no triable issue.”
S
To support her accusations, Sala even sought paternity tests from her kids. But she refused to produce the birth certificates for her children, and she opted not to file a suit that would have made her ex-husband’s DNA public.
Fortunately, Ontario Judge Fred Graham rejected the paternity claim, stating that the woman’s claims were “so incredible” that no reasonable judge would accept them and that any trial would be “a waste of limited judicial resources.”
The Matrix actor claimed that this period in his life was among the wildest ones he has ever experienced. I had to appear in court. It was awful. That wasn’t me. In 2011, Keanu admitted to US Weekly, ”I had to go to court. It was horrible. I didn’t do it. I’m not the dad,” .
How some fans may go to such extremes in their devotion to Hollywood stars is truly disturbing. I hope she is receiving the support she requires.
