Alfonso Ribeiro’s Daughter Undergoes Emergency Surgery: Updates and Recovery
Alfonso Ribeiro and his wife, Angela Ribeiro, recently provided updates on social media regarding the condition of their daughter, Ava Sue. The young girl underwent emergency surgery to prevent scarring after falling off her sit-down scooter just one day before her 4th birthday.
Alfonso shared pictures of Ava’s injuries, which included extensive bruising and burns on her right elbow, shoulder, and around her right eye. He expressed gratitude towards the medical team at Kare MD Skin Health for their emergency service and procedure to minimize the likelihood of scarring. Alfonso also expressed pride in Ava’s bravery during the surgery.
Ava’s mother, Angela, shared further details about the circumstances of the accident. She had a premonition that morning that Ava might end up getting hurt. Angela emphasized that she explicitly warned everyone present to avoid engaging in any risky or dangerous activities that could lead to an emergency room visit. However, shortly after her warning, Ava fell off her scooter.
Following the accident, Ava was promptly taken to Kare MD Skin Health, specifically to Dr. Raffy, after-hours. The aim was to reduce the risk of scarring in the future. Angela acknowledged that it was not an ideal way for Ava to spend her last day as a 3-year-old but praised her for being resilient. She mentioned giving Ava extra cuddles that night.
The team at Kare MD Skin Health responded to Alfonso’s gratitude by wishing Ava a happy birthday on their Instagram page. They expressed their honor in taking care of Ava and sent well wishes for a speedy recovery.
Accidents involving our children are always distressing, and Alfonso and Angela’s experience is no exception. However, they are grateful that their little one is on the road to recovery. The incident serves as a reminder of the lengths parents would go to ensure the good health of their children.
